Guitar potentiometers from US brands and US-based sellers
6 US brands and sellers surfaced here at $6.99 to $84.38, each verified from Amazon's own published seller info. Last verified August 7, 2026.
A guitar potentiometer lives or dies on two things: whether the resistance taper is accurate and consistent, and whether the shaft and lugs hold up to years of soldering and knob-turning. The throwaway versions skip quality control on both, so you get pots that are mislabeled, scratchy, or physically loose out of the box.
What to look for in a good guitar potentiometer
- Check the stamped value. A real pot has its resistance value and taper (250k audio, 500k linear, etc.) stamped into the metal case, not just printed on a bag insert that can be swapped.
- Shaft and bushing feel. Turn the bare shaft before it's in a guitar, a solid brass shaft in a threaded bushing feels tight and returns to center cleanly, while cheap stamped shafts wobble and let knobs work loose over time.
- Lug strength. Solid, thick lugs take repeated soldering and desoldering without breaking off, while thin folded sheet-metal lugs crack after one or two rework attempts.
- Smooth sweep, no dead zones. Rotate the shaft full range, resistance should climb evenly with no scratchy static or a dead patch near either end, a common defect in cheap carbon elements.

Suggested, not verified. These names came from an AI suggestion, not from our data. We only call a brand US after checking the seller's registered address on its Amazon seller page. Amazon is the seller on these, so its seller page can't tell us who the brand is.
