One signature, and it is revocable
A platform will not take a notice from a stranger. Before anyone can file for you, they need a document from you saying so. Ours is a Letter of Authorization, which is what platforms ask for by name.
- You sign it once. It is a form in the app at onboarding, not a PDF round trip. You get the signed copy and the record of how it was signed.
- It is scope-limited. It covers enforcement notices about your own products and marks. It is not a power of attorney and it gives Knockoff no authority over anything else you own.
- You revoke it whenever you want. The authorization page has a revoke button. Revoking stops our filing immediately. You keep every match with its evidence and a link to the platform's own form, and you file from there.
- A counter notice comes to you. If a seller pushes back, the platform routes it to the rights owner. That is you, and Knockoff hands over the whole file rather than answering for you.

Read this before you pay for done-for-you brand protection.
- Not every platform accepts an agent. Most do. Some want the rights owner to hold the reporting account, which means a one-time enrollment from you before we can file through it. A few accept the owner only, and those you report yourself from the link in your account. Your account lists which platform sits where.
- Filing is not removal. Platforms decide for themselves, so the outcome is not ours to promise. You get a complete, evidenced claim and the record of what came back.
- Counter notices end our part. A pushback from the seller is a legal decision about your property. We hand you the file and stop.
- Design clones stay advisory. When a copycat re-shoots your product instead of stealing the photo, Knockoff can recognize the product and tell you. It does not become a filing on its own.
- Shopify stores only, for now. Your catalog is what gets watched, and the connection is Shopify, one store per account.

How does Knockoff file on my behalf? +
You sign one Letter of Authorization when you start, which appoints Knockoff as your authorized agent for copyright and trademark notices about your own work. From then on, every case you approve goes to our filing desk. A named Knockoff signer submits the notice on platforms that accept agent filings and records what comes back.
What is a Letter of Authorization? +
A short signed document that says one company may act for another on a defined task. Platforms ask for one before they accept a notice from anybody other than the rights owner. Ours is scope-limited to enforcement notices about your own products, you sign it once in the app, and you can revoke it at any time.
Do I still have to approve each takedown? +
Yes, and that does not change. Knockoff prepares the exact notice for you to review and approve. A notice carries a sworn statement, so the person who owns the work is the person who decides it goes out. After approval, a Knockoff reviewer checks the package before it is signed and submitted on covered platforms.
