Brand protection companies
The best brand protection companies in 2026
Knockoff is on this list, and we make Knockoff. So this page holds itself to a rule: every price is one the vendor itself publishes, every strength we credit a competitor is real, and every company gets the case for picking it over us.
From $99 a month. Monthly billing, no contract, 30-day money-back guarantee.

How we compared
Brand protection companies are hard to shop for. Most publish no price, most require a sales call before you learn anything concrete, and every vendor list you find is written by a vendor. This one is too, so it sticks to four questions you can verify yourself: does the company publish a price, how do you buy, what does it actually cover, and who is it built for.
Of the eight companies here, three publish pricing: Red Points, Recon and Knockoff. The other five require a sales conversation before you see a number. That single fact sorts the market faster than any feature chart. If you want the background on what brand protection software does before comparing vendors, start there.
The eight companies at a glance
| Company | Published price | How you buy | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red Points | $938/mo base + add-ons (self-serve tier) | Card plus a signed services agreement | Mid-market and enterprise brands |
| MarqVision | None published | Demo call | Global enterprise brands |
| BrandShield | None on its site | Demo call | Security teams and large brands |
| Corsearch | None published | Demo call | Enterprises with trademark or legal teams |
| Podqi | None published | Demo call | Brands that want filing done for them |
| Bustem | None published (results-based billing) | Free audit, then a call | Brands that want filing done for them |
| Knockoff | $99, $299 and $799/mo | Signup form | Shopify brands that approve each takedown |
| Recon | Free plan; $24/mo paid | Shopify app install | Stores that only need clone-site alerts |

The companies, one by one
Red Points
The biggest name in the category and the only enterprise vendor with a published price. The self-serve tier is $938 a month plus $174 a month for your first registered trademark, with marketplace coverage sold as add-ons on top, so the practical floor lands above $1,100 a month. In exchange, detections and takedowns are unlimited at a flat fee, and coverage spans marketplaces, standalone sites, social impersonation, paid ads and app stores. Pick Red Points if you hold registered trademarks, carry a five-figure annual budget, and face copying at a scale where unlimited enforcement pays for itself. The catch for a small store: pricing is per registered trademark. If you do not have one yet, there is nothing to buy.
MarqVision
A managed service: their team runs detection and enforcement for you across a claimed 1,500+ platforms in 118+ countries, with notably deep coverage of Asian marketplaces. It raised a $48M Series B in 2025 and serves names like Nissan and Lush. Pick MarqVision if you want to hand the entire problem to someone else and your budget matches an enterprise contract. No pricing is published anywhere, and buying starts with a demo call.
BrandShield
Approaches brand protection from the security side: phishing sites, lookalike domains, fake social accounts and fraudulent ads, sold to security teams as much as brand teams. Its site publishes no pricing; the one hard number in public is a $22,000 twelve-month contract for its managed anti-phishing module on AWS Marketplace. Pick BrandShield if impersonation and phishing worry you more than copied marketplace listings do.
Corsearch
The widest scope on this list: trademark screening, clearance and watching alongside enforcement, assembled from a decade of acquisitions. It is the only company here that handles the trademark register and the marketplaces in one product, and it describes its own best fit as organizations with trademark, brand protection or legal teams. Take that at face value. Pick Corsearch if you are building a trademark portfolio and want clearance, watching and enforcement from one vendor. No published pricing; demo call.
Podqi
The newest of the sales-led vendors, positioned against the legacy players on automation, and it files takedowns for you. A free scan shows your exposure before any sales conversation, which is more than most of the demo-gated vendors offer. Pick Podqi if you want done-for-you filing with modern tooling. Know going in that pricing is unpublished and its flagship case studies are streetwear brands with enforcement volume far beyond a typical small store.
Bustem
A done-for-you takedown service aimed smaller than the enterprise set. Its founder has described the billing as results-based: you pay when something comes down, not a monthly retainer. Alerts arrive in Slack, which suits a small team. Pick Bustem if you want zero involvement in enforcement and prefer paying per outcome. The tradeoffs: no published price, a call before you can buy, and per-outcome billing gets unpredictable the month a dozen sellers hit you at once.
Knockoff. That's us.
Knockoff watches your Shopify catalog's product photos across major marketplaces and the open web and confirms every match the hard way: your photo has to appear in the seller's own listing gallery. Each confirmed match becomes a complete case: the exact notice, an archived copy of the listing, a timestamped screenshot and a side by side. You approve each case, a real person reviews every notice, and you file it in one click through the platform's own form. If the listing comes back, the relist is caught and a follow-up package is opened without you redoing anything. Plans are $99, $299 and $799 a month on the pricing page, with monthly billing, no contract and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Pick Knockoff if you run a Shopify store, want to read the price before you talk to anyone, and want to stay in control of what gets filed. Where the others beat us: we work with Shopify stores only, we prepare filings rather than submit them for you, and the enterprise vendors cover surfaces we do not, like paid ads and app stores.
Recon
A Shopify app with a genuinely free plan and a paid plan at $24 a month. It catches cloned storefronts by flagging your theme code loading on a domain that is not yours, watches lookalike domains, audits your email spoofing protection, and hands you DMCA templates plus registrar abuse contacts to file yourself. Pick Recon if clone sites are your only worry and your budget is zero. It does not watch marketplaces, does not match product photos, and the filing labor stays yours.
How to actually choose
Three questions settle most of this market.
- Do you hold registered trademarks and an enterprise budget? If yes, the sales-led vendors are built for you, and Red Points gives you a rare thing in this category: a price you can read first. If no, note that some enterprise pricing is structured per registered trademark, and your product photos are protected by copyright either way.
- Do you want it done for you, or do you want control? MarqVision, Podqi and Bustem file on your behalf. Knockoff prepares everything and keeps you as the one who approves and files, because a claim filed in error is your account on the line, not the vendor's. Recon hands you templates and leaves the rest to you.
- Is your problem stolen listings or impersonation? Copied product photos and knockoff listings point you at the marketplace-focused tools on this list. Phishing and lookalike domains point you at BrandShield. Cloned Shopify storefronts specifically are covered by Recon at the free end and by brand protection for an online store at the prepared-takedown end.
One more thing before you pay anyone. Amazon Brand Registry and the platform IP portals are free and real, and you should enroll where you qualify. Brand Registry requires a registered trademark, each portal covers only its own platform, and the labor of finding copies and proving they are yours stays with you. Every company on this page exists because of that last part. If a single copied listing is your whole problem, a DMCA takedown service may be all you need.
What Knockoff does not do
The same standard we held the other seven to.
- It works with Shopify stores only today. One store per account; the catalog you connect is what gets watched.
- It does not guarantee detections or removals. Marketplaces, hosts and registrars decide what comes down and when. Anyone who promises removals is selling something they do not control.
- It does not file for you. Every notice is prepared for you and submitted by you, in one click, through the platform's own form. Knockoff is not a law firm and nothing on this page is legal advice.
- Trademark watching covers US filings only. The US trademark watch flags lookalike applications; it does not file oppositions or give legal advice.
Questions
What do brand protection companies cost? +
Most will not say. Of the eight companies on this page, three publish prices: Red Points at $938 a month base plus add-ons, Recon free or at $24 a month, and Knockoff from $99 to $799 a month. The other five require a sales conversation before you see a number.
Do I need a registered trademark to use a brand protection company? +
For some vendors, effectively yes: Red Points prices its self-serve tier per registered trademark. For stolen product photos you do not need one. Your photos are protected by copyright the moment you take them, and copyright claims work on every major marketplace.
Why should I trust a list written by a vendor on it? +
Check it. Every price here is published by the vendor it belongs to, every limitation we name about ourselves is real, and every competitor entry includes the case for choosing them instead of us. If any claim on this page fails your check, tell us and it gets fixed.
What is the difference between brand protection software and a DMCA takedown service? +
Brand protection software finds and tracks copying across many platforms and helps build cases. A DMCA takedown service handles the narrower job of getting one copied listing or site removed. Small brands usually need the second job handled well before the first one matters.
Does Amazon Brand Registry already do this for free? +
It is real and worth enrolling in if you qualify. It requires a registered trademark, it covers Amazon only, and finding infringements and proving them stays your job. The same is true of each marketplace's IP portal.
